PE Teacher – Full Time
Location: Bury, Greater Manchester
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time (with opportunities prior to September)
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Bury from September 2026. This is a full-time position, suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs, with excellent support available.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4, inspiring students to develop a lifelong love of sport and physical activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Promote participation, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Contribute to extracurricular sports and school activities
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education
- Passion for inspiring young people through sport
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
