Teacher of Physical Education (Male or Female)
Temporary Contract: September 2026 – December 2026
Full-Time | Secondary School (11–18)
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed, and inspiring Teacher of Physical Education to join a successful and supportive PE department on a temporary basis from September 2026 to December 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate practitioner to contribute to a high-achieving school community, delivering high-quality PE lessons that engage, challenge, and motivate students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach both practical and theoretical components of PE (including GCSE/BTEC Sport) would be advantageous, though not essential.
The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive PE lessons to students of varying abilities.
- Promote high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour.
- Contribute to the assessment, tracking, and reporting of student progress.
- Support the wider life of the school through extracurricular sport, fixtures, and enrichment activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and further develop a strong curriculum.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a specialism in Physical Education.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for sport and physical activity.
- Have the ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Be committed to maintaining high standards within the classroom and beyond.
- Contribute positively to a team-oriented and ambitious department.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
