Year 2 Teacher – Part Time (3 Days)

A welcoming primary school in Wigan is looking to appoint a Year 2 Teacher on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This role is ideal for someone seeking a better work-life balance while still maintaining a classroom teaching position.

The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced job-share teacher to ensure consistency across the week.

The Role:

• Delivering engaging lessons within a Year 2 class
• Shared planning responsibilities with another teacher
• Supporting pupils in preparation for KS1 assessments
• Maintaining clear and consistent classroom routines
• Tracking and monitoring pupil progress

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds QTS with experience in KS1
• Strong understanding of phonics and early learning
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Able to work collaboratively within a job-share
• Reliable and consistent in approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
