Part-time Primary Teacher
Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Primary Teacher to join our friendly and supportive school team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to helping students achieve their full potential in a positive and engaging learning environment.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons, inspire learners, and contribute to the academic and personal development of students.
Location: Nelson
Hours: Part-Time (Flexible Working Pattern Available)
Salary: £120 - £160 per day until AWR is addressed – then paid in line with M-Scale of the role.
Contract: Long-term
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual learners.
- Maintain accurate records and support school policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Promote student wellbeing and safeguarding at all times.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching within the relevant age group or subject area.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A passion for education and student success.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
