Part-Time Primary Teacher – Job Share Opportunity (Thursdays & Fridays)
Location: Salisbury
Start Date: September 2026
Pay: £125–£150 per day (depending on experience)
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher looking for a better work-life balance? Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school seeking a part-time teacher to join their team for a job share position, working every Thursday and Friday for the full academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or ECT who is passionate about delivering engaging lessons while working collaboratively with another class teacher to ensure continuity and high-quality learning.
The Role:
As the successful candidate, you will:
- Deliver engaging and creative lessons on Thursdays and Fridays.
- Work closely with the class teacher to ensure a seamless job share arrangement.
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
- Assess pupil progress and provide effective feedback.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning.
- Contribute to planning and handovers to ensure consistency throughout the week.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has recent experience teaching within a UK primary school.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management.
- Is organised, reliable and an effective communicator.
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a teaching team.
- Has a genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
Teaching Personnel Vetting & Safeguarding:
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All applicants will be subject to our rigorous vetting process, including:
- An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Verification of identity and Right to Work in the UK.
- A minimum of two professional references, including your most recent employer.
- Verification of qualifications and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A face-to-face or virtual registration interview with a Teaching Personnel consultant.
- Employment history checks with any gaps in employment explained.
- Completion of safeguarding and compliance checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
