KS2 Part-Time Cover Teacher Opportunity – Starting September 2026
A welcoming and supportive primary school in Salisbury are looking to appoint a versatile KS2 teacher to join their team on a part-time basis from September 2026.
The Role:
This position involves providing general cover across Key Stage 2, teaching pupils in Years 3, 4, 5, and 6. You will step into different classrooms as needed, delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring a calm, productive learning environment.
This role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys variety, thrives in different classroom settings, and can quickly build rapport with pupils.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Covering lessons across KS2 using existing planning
- Creating a positive and focused classroom atmosphere
- Managing behaviour confidently and consistently
- Supporting pupils’ learning and engagement across a range of abilities
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A confident teaching style with a strong classroom presence
- Proven ability to manage behaviour effectively
- Flexibility and a proactive approach to working across multiple year groups
Essential Information
- Start Date: September 2026
- Working Pattern: Part-time
- Pay: £120–£140 per day (dependent on experience)
- DBS: An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferred, but we can support you in obtaining one if needed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
