Key Stage 1 Teacher – Part Time (3 Days Per Week)
Location: Wigan
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Part Time

A supportive and community-focused primary school in Wigan is seeking a part-time KS1 Teacher to work as part of a job-share arrangement. The school has a strong emphasis on collaboration, making this an ideal role for someone looking for flexibility without compromising on quality teaching.

The Role Will Include:

  • Delivering high-quality lessons across a KS1 class
  • Sharing planning responsibilities with the class teacher
  • Assessing and tracking pupil progress
  • Supporting phonics delivery and early reading development
  • Creating a positive and structured classroom environment
  • Maintaining effective communication with parents and staff

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS and have experience within KS1
  • Have strong knowledge of phonics schemes such as Little Wandle or Read Write Inc
  • Be highly organised and able to work collaboratively
  • Have a positive and engaging teaching style
  • Be committed to supporting all pupils to reach their full potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
