SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistant – Tiverton, Devon

Teaching Personnel is recruiting caring, committed and enthusiastic SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistants to work with pupils in schools across Tiverton and the surrounding areas.

Location: Exeter & surrounding areas
Pay: £105–£115 per day
Start: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
⏰ Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–4:30pm

The Role

As a SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 or small-group support during outdoor learning sessions
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs and abilities
• Support EHCPs, IEPs and behaviour support plans
• Promote independence, confidence and engagement
• Support emotional wellbeing, communication and behaviour regulation
• Work closely with teachers, the SENCo and wider support staff

We’re Looking For

You may have:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND (desirable, not essential)
• Transferable experience in care, youth work, outdoor education or family SEND support
• A patient, resilient and proactive approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children and developing within education
