Teaching Personnel is recruiting caring, committed SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistants to work with pupils in schools across Crediton and the surrounding areas.

The Role
Position: SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistant
Pay: £105–£115 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–4:30 pm
What You’ll Do
- Provide dedicated 1:1 or small-group support during outdoor learning sessions
- Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs and abilities
- Support the implementation of EHCPs, IEPs and behaviour support plans
- Promote independence, confidence and engagement through outdoor learning
- Support pupils with emotional wellbeing, communication and behaviour regulation
- Work closely with teachers, the SENCo and wider support staff to provide consistent support
We’re Looking For
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND — desirable but not essential
- Transferable experience in areas such as care, youth work, outdoor education or family SEND support
- A patient, resilient and proactive approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine desire to support pupils and develop a career in education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
