£14.25 per hour (PAYE) | Weekly Pay
Term Time Only
Hours:  8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Temporary/Ongoing

Nursery Class Assistant

Are you passionate about giving young children the very best start to their education?

We are seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Class Assistant to support the Foundation Learning team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a welcoming and inclusive school community where every child is encouraged to "Be the Best You Can Be."

We are looking for someone who shares these values and is passionate about supporting young children during the most important stage of their educational journey.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Is kind, patient and nurturing, with a genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development.
  • Can build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
  • Understands the importance of play-based learning and supporting children's wellbeing and independence.
  • Promotes inclusion and has high expectations for every child.
  • Works effectively as part of a team and uses initiative when required.
  • Is flexible, reliable and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable

  • A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years Education or an equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience of working with nursery-aged or primary-aged children in an educational or childcare setting.
  • Experience of supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
  • Knowledge of child development and Foundation Learning.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
