Job description

Lead and Inspire Overnight Support for Young People with Complex Needs

Join a highly respected specialist setting supporting young people with severe autism, Asperger’s profiles and complex behavioural and learning needs. The provision is based in a beautiful New Forest location, offering a calm and structured environment where young people can grow, develop independence and thrive.

We are seeking a confident and compassionate Night Team Manager to guide night staff, ensure high-quality care and maintain a safe, nurturing environment throughout the night.

You will oversee night-time operations, inspiring your team to deliver consistent, personalised support. Your leadership will help ensure each young person’s care plan is implemented effectively and that they feel safe, settled and well cared for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the night team to deliver excellent support

  • Ensure every young person has a designated key worker

  • Make sure staff fully understand and follow each young person’s care plan

  • Attend planning and review meetings as required

  • Build positive relationships and act as an appropriate role model

  • Encourage young people to share views about their care

  • Maintain high standards of safety, wellbeing and communication


What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 6 months’ childcare/SEN experience, including autism and complex needs

  • Full UK driving licence (essential due to rural setting)

  • NVQ Level 3 in Childcare/Young People or working towards Level 4

  • Strong understanding of behaviour support and relevant legislation

  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills

  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour with professionalism and calm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
