Have you recently completed your PGCE and are now looking to gain your QTS through hands-on classroom experience? This is a fantastic opportunity to start your teaching career within a supportive mainstream secondary school.

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Newly Qualified Teachers to join a secondary school in Blackwood. This role will allow you to develop your classroom practice, build confidence in delivering the curriculum, and become an integral part of a collaborative teaching team. About the Role

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across the secondary curriculum (KS3–KS5).
  • Support pupils with a variety of learning needs, including those requiring additional classroom support.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to pupils, parents/carers, and colleagues.
  • Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that promotes learning and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with other teaching staff and support teams to ensure high-quality learning experiences.

 

Requirements

  • Awarded a PGCE and currently looking to gain QTS.
  • Strong understanding of the secondary national curriculum.
  • Ability to adapt lessons to support diverse learners.
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, resilient, and passionate about teaching.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with pupils, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding and professional responsibilities.
