Pay: From £172.98 per day
Contract: Full‑time, Term‑time
Job Description
Primary schools across the NP12 area are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Newly Qualified Teachers to start in September 2026. For those keen to gain additional classroom experience before the new academic year, there are opportunities available during the summer term to work as a Teaching Assistant or Unqualified Teacher.
This is an excellent chance to build confidence, become familiar with school routines, and establish yourself within local schools ahead of your first qualified teaching role.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver well‑planned, engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum
- Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
- Assess and track pupil progress to support individual learning needs
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and leadership teams
- Uphold school behaviour, safeguarding, and teaching policies
- Take part in wider school activities and professional development
- (Summer Term) Support classes as a Teaching Assistant or Unqualified Teacher
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Passion for teaching and supporting pupil development
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A proactive and adaptable approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
