Job description

Location: Redcar, North Yorkshire
Start Date: September 2026 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join our partnership secondary school in Redcar. This role offers an excellent opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a developing and ambitious MFL department.

The Role

  • Teach French and/or Spanish at Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan and deliver engaging and motivating lessons
  • Encourage a positive attitude towards language learning and cultural awareness
  • Contribute to the continued development of the MFL curriculum
  • Use effective assessment and feedback to support pupil progress
  • Take part in wider school life, including enrichment and extracurricular activities

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status or is working towards it
  • Has a strong passion for languages and international culture
  • Demonstrates effective classroom management and an inclusive teaching approach
  • Sets high expectations and supports learners of all abilities
  • Works well collaboratively within a supportive team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
