Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher – Cover Role

Location: Bath, Somerset
Contract: Cover role (with potential for long-term placement)
Start Date: ASAP

The Opportunity

A friendly and forward-thinking secondary school in Bath is seeking a motivated and adaptable MFL Teacher to join their languages department on a cover basis, starting as soon as possible.

This role is ideal for an ECT or experienced teacher looking for immediate work, with the opportunity for the position to continue as a long-term placement for the right candidate.

The Role

  • Delivering Modern Foreign Languages across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 may be available depending on experience)
  • Taking responsibility for a planned cover role within a supportive department
  • Creating engaging lessons that promote confidence and cultural understanding
  • Monitoring progress and supporting pupils to achieve their potential
  • Contributing positively to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS (or is working towards it)
  • Able to teach French and/or Spanish (other languages considered)
  • Confident, flexible, and able to adapt quickly in a cover setting
  • Strong classroom behaviour management skills
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
