Job Advert: Qualified KS1 Teacher – Mixed Year 1/2 Class
Yeovil, Somerset
Start Date: September
Full-Time | £120–£140 per day
A welcoming and nurturing primary school in Yeovil is seeking a qualified KS1 Teacher to join their team from September. The school is looking for a committed and enthusiastic teacher to take on a full-time role in a mixed Year 1/2 class.
The Role
- Teaching a mixed Year 1/2 class on a full-time basis
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 National Curriculum
- Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment where pupils can thrive
- Working collaboratively with staff and contributing to the wider school community
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, progress, and achievement
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Demonstrates high standards of teaching and learning
- Works effectively as part of a busy and caring team
- Has strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Is enthusiastic about supporting pupils in their early stages of learning
Vetting & Compliance
As part of the recruitment process with Teaching Personnel, all applicants will be required to complete a full and in-depth vetting process, including:
- An interview with a trusted consultant from Teaching Personnel
- Submission of right to work documentation
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the DBS Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Relevant references and safeguarding checks

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
