Are you a highly skilled, experienced, and enthusiastic Maths Teacher seeking a new role from September?

A highly regarded Alternative provision are seeking a Maths Teacher to join their permanent staff list on a full-time basis from September.

Area: Derbyshire
Contract: Permanent, Fulltime
Age: 5-16
Gender of entry: Mixed
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

The successful candidate must:
**Qualifications: The candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field. A higher degree, such as a master's or a doctorate, in Mathematics or Education, would be advantageous.

**Teaching Certification: The candidate should have a valid teaching certification or license, preferably in Mathematics or a relevant subject area. This certification ensures that the teacher has the necessary pedagogical knowledge and skills.

**Experience: Prior experience in teaching Mathematics, particularly in alternative provision settings, is highly desirable. Experience working with students who have diverse learning needs, behavioral challenges, or special educational needs is also beneficial.

**Subject Knowledge: The candidate must have a strong command of the subject matter, with in-depth knowledge of mathematical concepts, theories, and applications. They should be able to effectively teach various areas of Mathematics, including algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and probability.

**Differentiated Instruction: The candidate should demonstrate the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students in an alternative provision. They should be able to adapt teaching methods, materials, and assessments to cater to individual students' abilities, interests, and learning styles.

**Classroom Management: Strong classroom management skills are crucial for a Maths teacher in an alternative provision. The candidate should have the ability to establish a positive and structured learning environment, effectively manage behavior, and maintain discipline while ensuring a safe and inclusive space for all students.

**Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. The candidate should be able to effectively convey mathematical concepts and ideas to students, parents, and colleagues. They should also be capable of collaborating with other teachers, support staff, and external professionals to support students' holistic development.

**Empathy and Patience: Working in an alternative provision often involves supporting students who face various personal, social, or emotional challenges. The candidate should demonstrate empathy, patience, and understanding towards students' individual circumstances and be able to provide appropriate guidance and support.

**Flexibility and Adaptability: The candidate must be adaptable to the changing needs and dynamics of an alternative provision. They should be open to new teaching strategies, interventions, and educational technologies that can enhance student learning and engagement.

**Safeguarding and Child Protection: The candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the well-being and safety of students. They should be vigilant in identifying and reporting any signs of abuse, neglect, or other concerns.
