Job Title: Maths Teacher

Location: MK44 area

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: MPS/UPS depending on experience

About the Role We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join our specialist school in the MK44 area. The school supports pupils aged 7–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of young people who may have struggled in mainstream education. You will deliver engaging and differentiated maths lessons that support both academic progress and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality maths lessons to pupils aged 7–16

  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with SEMH and additional learning needs

  • Create a safe, supportive and structured learning environment

  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback

  • Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff and the wider school team

  • Support students’ social and emotional development alongside academic learning

  • Contribute to behaviour support strategies and positive engagement in learning

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching Maths at KS2, KS3 and/or KS4

  • A patient, resilient and flexible approach to teaching

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • A genuine commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs

Experience working in a specialist setting or with pupils with SEMH needs is desirable but not essential. Teachers from mainstream backgrounds who are interested in transitioning to specialist education are encouraged to apply.
