We are delighted to be working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth, currently seeking a dedicated Maths and English Tutor to support students who need that extra boost to succeed.
This is a temporary, part-time role starting Monday 13th April, offering 2 hours of work per day—perfect for someone looking to make a meaningful difference alongside other commitments.
About the Role
You will be working with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students who require additional support in Maths and English. The role focuses on building confidence, closing learning gaps, and helping students reach their full academic potential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering targeted Maths and English support to small groups or on a 1:1 basis
- Supporting students who may face barriers to learning, including behavioural challenges
- Reinforcing classroom learning and helping students prepare for assessments
- Adapting teaching approaches to meet individual student needs
- Encouraging engagement, motivation, and positive learning behaviours
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting Maths and English at KS3 and KS4 level
- Is confident working with students who may display challenging behaviour
- Builds positive relationships quickly and effectively
- Is patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic about helping young people succeed
- Has previous tutoring or school-based experience (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
