Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full Academic Year (Maternity Cover)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Are you an inspiring Early Years teacher with a passion for nurturing young learners through creativity, exploration, and play?
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Newcastle to recruit a dedicated EYFS Teacher for a full-time maternity cover, starting in September 2026 for the full academic year.

The Role
The successful candidate will lead an Early Years class, creating an engaging and stimulating learning environment where every child is encouraged to thrive. The school is looking for a teacher who embraces a pupil-led approach to learning and is committed to delivering a holistic, creative curriculum that inspires children through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences.
You will work collaboratively with a dedicated Early Years team to ensure pupils receive the highest quality education while supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching within Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- A strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development.
- A genuine passion for delivering a creative, holistic, and child-centred curriculum.
- Confidence in planning and delivering engaging, pupil-led learning experiences.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- A commitment to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
