Location: Preston
Contract: 2nd March 2026 – July 2026
Setting: Secondary School / Primary School (can adjust if needed)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Are you a dedicated and supportive Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding opportunity? A welcoming school in Preston is seeking a passionate TA to join their team from 2nd March 2026 until the end of the academic year in July 2026.
About the Role
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students’ learning, working closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education. You will provide both classroom and small-group support, helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted support to students across the classroom
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities
- Work with small groups or individuals to reinforce learning
- Support behaviour management and promote a positive learning environment
- Assist with assessment and recording of pupil progress
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom atmosphere
Requirements
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of supporting differentiated learning
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting young people
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
