Full Time | September Start | Long-Term to Permanent Opportunity | £14.25 per hour

Are you a passionate and nurturing Early Years Teaching Assistant looking for your next full-time role this September?

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming and community-focused primary school in Truro seeking a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.


About the Role

You will be working within a vibrant Early Years setting, supporting children at a crucial stage in their development. This role combines whole-class support, small group work, and 1:1 intervention, helping young learners build confidence, independence, and a love for learning.

This is a full-time position (Monday–Friday) starting in September, offering consistency, progression, and the chance to become a valued member of the school community.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting children across EYFS (Nursery/Reception) in daily classroom activities
  • Delivering targeted phonics, literacy, and numeracy support
  • Providing 1:1 and small group interventions where needed
  • Helping to create a positive, nurturing, and stimulating environment
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEN where required
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and staff to enhance learning outcomes

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (essential)
  • Experience working in an EYFS or primary school setting
  • Strong understanding of early child development and learning through play
  • A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
  • Confidence supporting children with varying needs, including SEN (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
