Are you an experienced LSA seeking a new role working with young people with additional needs?

 This Special school in Farnborough are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and experienced Learning Support Assistant to work under the direction of teaching staff to support our students with moderate learning difficulties and autism in the classroom.  LSAs play a valuable role in the learning support team and work one to one or in small classes.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Understands working with young people with additional needs
  • Has excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Is adaptable, creative, flexible and with good organisational and communication skills.
  • Enjoys working with young people and is interested and committed to meeting their individual needs
  • Can work as part of; and contribute effectively to; the team

 Ideal Candidate:

 

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children of special educational needs and more specifically, we are specifically looking for support staff with a particular specialism such as ASD, Speech and Language, SLD and other Learning Disabilities. Due to the nature of the students a patient, caring and compassionate approach is needed. The ideal candidate will be free for work full time.

Additional information:

  • Working hours are 9:00am – 3:30 (full time)
  • Earn around £1200+ per month

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
