Learning Support Assistant

Stockport based secondary school are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant specialising in the areas of Autism, ADHD and SEMH. If you are experienced working with students who have moderate learning difficulties or have a degree/qualification in the areas of Psychology, Youth Work or Counselling this will be transferable to the role.

Large in size with over 2000 students this Ofsted graded Good school has a large SEN department and will offer regular training and development courses for the successful candidate. Situated in South Stockport the school can be accessed off the M60 or via direct train and bus routes from central Manchester and the surrounding areas.

This will be a full time Learning Support Assistant post Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30-3:30 commencing in May or earlier if available to do so for the remainder of the academic year and into September.

Desirable criteria for this post;

  • Relevant work experience in the areas of social emotional mental health or social care
  • Degree or qualifications in Psychology or Counselling
  • Employment references
  • Fully enhanced DBS certificate
