Are you passionate about making a difference in a child’s early learning journey? We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide 1:1 support for a Reception-aged child in Angmering.
Role Details:
- Position: Learning Support Assistant (Reception)
- Location: Littlehampton, West Sussex
- Hours: Full time – 8.30am-3.30pm
- Salary: £83.85 - £90 a day
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support for a Reception-aged child with ASC and speech and language delays.
- Assist with classroom learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment to support the child’s emotional and social development.
- Implement strategies to promote engagement, independence, and positive behavior.
- Monitor and document progress, sharing updates with the school team and parents as required.
About You:
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with children in Early Years or Key Stage 1, ideally with additional needs.
- Be patient, empathetic, and skilled in building positive relationships.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Hold relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, CACHE Diploma, or equivalent).
- Have a solid understanding of safeguarding practices and child development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
