Location: South Gloucestershire (BS32)
Hours: Full Time
Salary: Starting at £92.95 per day
About the Role
We’re looking for a supportive, patient and motivated individual to join a welcoming school community in South Gloucestershire as an Unqualified Learning & Inclusion Support Mentor.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) thrive in the classroom. Formal qualifications are desirable but not essential - just the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and experience from areas such as care, youth support, psychology or education studies, coaching, or other people‑focused environments.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Learning & Inclusion Support Mentor, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with diverse learning needs
- Help implement tailored learning plans and classroom adaptations
- Support children with communication, emotional regulation and engagement
- Create a positive, inclusive and structured learning environment
- Assist the class teacher in daily routines and learning activities
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to help boost confidence and independence
- Offer encouragement, reassurance and consistency to help learners progress

We are looking for individuals who have:
- Patience, empathy, resilience and a caring nature
- Experience in care, youth work, psychology or education studies, coaching or similar roles
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- The ability to remain calm and positive in challenging moments
- A willingness to learn, reflect and grow within the role
- Reliability and a proactive attitude toward teamwork

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
