KS3/KS4 Teacher Required - September Start

A welcoming and supportive secondary school in Chorley is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS3/KS4 Teacher with an interest in English to join their team on a full-time basis from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator looking to secure a long-term position with the potential to become permanent.

The successful candidate will be committed to delivering engaging lessons and supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4. An interest in English is highly desirable, with the ability to inspire students' confidence in literacy, reading, and written communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Support and develop students' literacy and communication skills.
  • Plan, prepare and assess work in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure positive outcomes for all students.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching students across KS3 and KS4.
  • A genuine interest in English and promoting literacy across the curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to raising achievement and supporting student development.
  • The ability to motivate and engage learners of varying abilities.
