KS2 Teacher

Job description

A Primary school we work closely with in the WF11 area in Wakefield has allocated additional funding for the hiring of class teachers to support in narrowing the post-lockdown gap in learning amongst pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds in particular.

We are currently searching for a Y5 and Y6 Class Teacher, from October 2020 or earlier. Year group allocation would depend on the applicant’s placement history and specialism, the gaps identified in the structure are in KS2.

This post is currently a long-term role for 12 months however, there may be the opportunity for a permanent position at the end of the post. This is a GOOD school by Ofsted and are on their way to achieve OUTSTANDING over the next 12 months.

Location- Wakefield (WF11)

Start date – October 2020

Pay - GBP120 - GBP180 per day (depending on experience)

Full time – 8:20am – 04:00pm

Long-term – 12 months

This role would involve settling in and immediately beginning preparation ahead of the KS2 SATs which are expected to run as normal next year. Ideally the candidate would be a teacher with experience in preparing for and administering KS2 SATs, with in-depth knowledge of the curriculum and a track record of raising attainment.

  • Provide two professional child related references
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
