Location: Stockport, SK7
Contract: Temporary, D2D, Short-, Long-term
Salary: £140 – £195 per day
Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed KS2 Teacher who is ready to lead a class on a short-, medium-, or long-term basis. The ideal candidate will have a child‑centred approach, valuing every pupil as an individual and celebrating curiosity, creativity, and a genuine love of learning.
In this role, you will be responsible for bringing lessons to life through imaginative and inspiring teaching, using a wide range of engaging stimuli to spark interest and deepen understanding while helping pupils develop strong academic and personal foundations for their future.
This position is well suited to both Early Career Teachers seeking their first classroom post and experienced KS2 Teachers searching for a rewarding opportunity within a supportive and nurturing school.
Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the KS2 National Curriculum for Years 3 to 6, teaching core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science, and supporting pupils in developing literacy, numeracy, and scientific skills. You will be expected to keep accurate records, use assessment information effectively to track progress and prepare pupils for statutory assessments.
A key part of the role involves adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND, EAL, and SEMH requirements. While also working collaboratively with colleagues such as Teaching Assistants, the SENCO, senior leaders, parents and carers to ensure strong pupil outcomes.
KS2 Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
- Strong understanding of assessment frameworks, including Year 4 MTC and Year 6 SATs.
- Knowledge of effective teaching strategies to support pupil progress.
- Commitment to safeguarding, child protection and inclusive practice.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
