Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated UKS2 Teacher to join our enthusiastic and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding practitioner who is passionate about teaching and learning in Upper Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will inspire, challenge and support learners as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.

Salary: Dependent on experience

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned to the UKS2 curriculum
  • Foster a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Use assessment effectively to ensure progress for all pupils
  • Prepare pupils for end‑of‑KS2 expectations and SATs (if applicable)
  • Establish strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
  • Contribute to wider school life, enrichment and ongoing school improvement
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team to share best practice

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge
  • Has experience teaching in UKS2 (or can demonstrate capability to do so)
  • Possesses strong behaviour management and high expectations for all learners
  • Is reflective, proactive and committed to continuous professional development
  • Has a passion for helping children succeed academically, socially and emotionally
  • Is a team player with excellent communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
