Full-Time | September Start | Fixed-Term Until February | Teaching Personnel

Are you an experienced Key Stage 2 Teacher looking for your next opportunity? Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Barnsley to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teacher to cover a maternity leave from September until February.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school with a strong leadership team and make a positive impact during a full-time maternity cover placement.

The Role

As the KS2 Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every pupil can thrive.
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
  • Prepare pupils for their next stage of learning through high-quality teaching and effective classroom practice.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Uphold high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and achievement.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
  • Be confident planning, delivering, and assessing lessons independently.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Be committed to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
