Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working with a primary school in Colne (BB8) looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to support Year 5 and 6 pupils. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting students' academic growth and those wanting to develop their career.

Temporary - permanent role

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities.
• Provide one-on-one support to students requiring additional help.
• Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assisting the class teacher in maintaining the schools behaviour policies
• Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning materials.

Qualifications:

Desirable: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Essential: Experience working with primary-aged children.

• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Safeguarding Training (must be done through Teaching Personnel)

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one upon registering with Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
