Temp-to-Perm Opportunity for 2026/2027

A vibrant primary school in Blackburn is looking for an enthusiastic KS2 Class Teacher to join their team for the summer term, with the possibility of a permanent contract in the 2026/2027 academic year. This role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys supporting older primary pupils as they prepare for the next stage of their education.

Key responsibilities

  • Teaching a KS2 class with confidence and high expectations

  • Planning and delivering engaging, challenging lessons

  • Supporting pupils’ progress across core subjects

  • Preparing learners for end-of-year assessments

  • Contributing to a collaborative and forward-thinking school culture

Ideal candidate profile

  • QTS with experience in KS2

  • Strong subject knowledge across upper primary curriculum areas

  • Ability to motivate and inspire pupils

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
