KS1 Teacher Required - Blackburn

A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Blackburn is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to join their team for the full academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or a motivated early career teacher looking to make a positive impact within Key Stage 1.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons that inspire pupils to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will be teaching within a KS1 classroom that has a high proportion of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). As such, experience teaching in similar settings and adapting lessons to meet a range of learning needs would be highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality KS1 lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Differentiate teaching to support varying abilities and SEND needs
• Monitor pupil progress and provide effective feedback
• Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and school leaders
• Promote excellent behaviour and strong pupil engagement

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
• Strong classroom management skills
• Knowledge of effective SEND teaching strategies
• Passion for helping every child succeed
