KS1 Teacher – Full Academic Year Contract
Location: Accrington
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term (Full Academic Year)
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and committed Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Accrington from September 2026. This is a full-time position for the entire academic year, offering an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact in a supportive and well-resourced environment.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a KS1 class, delivering engaging lessons that inspire young learners and support their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, creative lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents
- Contribute to the wider school community
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (including ECTs welcome to apply)
- Strong classroom management skills
- A nurturing and enthusiastic approach to teaching
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
