Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher – Christchurch
Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity | Via Teaching Personnel
Teaching Personnel are working in close partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded mainstream primary school in Christchurch to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher.
This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The school prides itself on its supportive leadership team, inclusive ethos, and strong focus on pupil wellbeing and achievement.
The Role:
You will take full responsibility for a KS1 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons that inspire a love of learning while ensuring all pupils make strong academic progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
- Assess, track and report on pupil progress
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs
- Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEN staff and senior leaders
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
- A strong understanding of phonics (e.g. Read Write Inc., Letters and Sounds or similar)
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A nurturing and patient approach to teaching
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
