KS1 Class Teacher – Yeovil, Somerset
Full Academic Year Contract | September 2026 Start | M1–M6 Pay Scale
Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Yeovil from September 2026.
This is a full-time teaching position for the entire 2026/27 academic year, offering the opportunity to become an integral part of a supportive school community. Planning and marking responsibilities are included within the role, and salary will be paid in line with the Main Pay Scale (M1–M6), dependent on experience.
The Role
- Full-time KS1 Class Teacher

- Planning, preparation and marking included
- Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that support pupil progress
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Previous teaching experience within a primary school setting
- Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is desirable
- Ability to provide professional references covering recent employment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
