KS1 Class Teacher – Full Academic Year (North Salisbury)
Start Date: September (full academic year)
Contract: Fixed-term
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Key Stage 1 Class Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive school community for the full academic year, commencing in September. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is dedicated to inspiring young learners and delivering high-quality teaching in a nurturing environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a KS1 class, planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons that support pupils’ academic progress and personal development. You will foster a positive classroom environment where every child feels valued, motivated, and challenged to achieve their best.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Assess, monitor and report on pupils’ progress effectively
- Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents
- Contribute to the wider life of the school community
- Full teaching responsibilities – Paid to scale M1-M6
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Is dedicated to developing into an outstanding classroom practitioner
- Can deliver a wide range of engaging and impactful lessons that inspire, motivate and raise pupil achievement
- Is able to plan and sequence lessons to a high standard, ensuring meaningful learning and strong pupil progress
- Has a secure understanding of the Primary Curriculum and current educational developments
- Is committed to raising attainment and encouraging all pupils to reach their full potential
- Works effectively as part of a team and contributes positively to a Year 1 class and the wider school community
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting the wellbeing of all pupils
- Brings a positive attitude, enthusiasm and a good sense of humour to the role
- Builds strong, professional relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Can work diligently whilst remaining composed in a busy school environment
- Is keen to contribute to and work within a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) setting
This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
