Key Stage 2 Teacher – Long-Term Role (September Start)
Moston, Manchester (M40)
We are working on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Moston, Manchester (M40) to recruit a Key Stage 2 Teacher for a long-term placement covering the full academic year.
This opportunity is suitable for Fully Qualified Teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are looking to secure consistent, full-time teaching in a supportive yet structured school environment.
The role:
The successful teacher will take full responsibility for a KS2 class, delivering engaging and well‑structured lessons aligned to the national curriculum. You will be expected to plan, teach and assess learning, adapt lessons to meet a range of abilities, and ensure pupils make consistent academic progress across the year.
You will manage day‑to‑day classroom routines, maintain clear expectations, and establish a calm, purposeful learning environment. Working closely with colleagues, you will attend staff meetings, liaise with support staff where appropriate, and communicate effectively with parents and carers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high‑quality teaching across the KS2 curriculum
- Planning and assessing in line with school policies
- Maintaining strong classroom behaviour and engagement
- Creating a safe, inclusive and structured learning environment
- Supporting pupils’ academic and social development
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold QTS (or be an ECT working towards completion)
- Have experience teaching in KS2 (placement experience welcomed)
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management and confident classroom presence
- Be reliable, organised and committed for the full academic year
- Adapt well to a long‑term role within a school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
