Key Stage 1 Teacher

A specialist school in Blackburn are seeking a KS1 Teacher ASAP to support the needs of their pupils across KS1, to cover a maternity. 

Class sizes will be smaller than average and pupils in school have social, emotional and mental health difficulties, may have suffered trauma / family breakdowns and are in need of a positive role model to support them in their return to school following the covid19 outbreak.

You will have sound knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and the ability to differentiate for those who may be working at a slightly lower level or whom may have fallen behind in the last 6 months.

You must have experience supporting children of a challenging nature, ideally in a PRU, as these pupils can sometimes be violent and / or aggressive in their behaviours & language. It is likely you will have a Teaching Assistant for support but ultimately the control and doscipline of the class will be your responsibility.

You must be available full-time for a long-term role, with a view to starting / interviewing this week!

Pay rates will be dependent upon skills and experience.
