KS1 Teacher – September Start
Long-Term Supply Opportunity | Moston, Manchester (M40)
A primary school in Moston (M40) is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join them on a full academic year placement, starting this September. The role is being recruited through our supply agency, with strong support provided throughout the placement.
Applications are welcome from experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are confident teaching in KS1 and committed to consistency, structure, and high expectations.
About the role
You will lead your own KS1 class, delivering creative and effective lessons that support early learning, phonics, and core literacy and numeracy skills. The role includes full teaching responsibility, from planning and assessment to daily classroom routines.
A confident and calm approach to behaviour management is essential, as the school is looking for a teacher who can establish clear expectations and provide a nurturing yet structured learning environment.
What you’ll be doing day to day:
- Teaching and planning across the KS1 curriculum
- Supporting pupils’ early academic and social development
- Managing classroom behaviour with consistency and confidence
- Assessing progress and adapting lessons where required
- Working closely with support staff and the wider school team
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS (or is an ECT)
- Has KS1 teaching experience (including placements)
- Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management
- Is organised, reliable and committed long-term
- Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
