IT & Computer Technology Teacher (Full Time) 

Location: Preston
Contract: 23rd February 2026 – July 2026
Setting: Secondary School
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Are you an enthusiastic and knowledgeable IT professional or educator ready to inspire the next generation of digital innovators? A secondary school in Preston is seeking a full-time IT and Computer Technology Teacher to join their team from 23rd February 2026 until the end of the academic year in July 2026.

About the Role

You will deliver engaging, practical, and forward-thinking lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students in developing essential skills in computing, digital literacy, and problem‑solving. You’ll be part of a supportive department focused on high-quality teaching and preparing students for a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver inspiring lessons in IT and Computer Science/Technology
  • Teach topics such as programming, cybersecurity, networking, digital systems, and digital media
  • Track student progress and provide effective feedback
  • Work collaboratively within the department and contribute to wider school life
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge in IT or Computer Science
  • Experience teaching secondary students (desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent communication and behaviour‑management skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people’s academic and personal development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
