IT and Business Teacher

Job description

A school based in Manchester is looking for an ICT and Business Studies to join the teaching staff. The individual will have QTS, and have prior experience in delivering quality lessons, as well as being able to competently manage the expectations of the school regarding behaviour. It is crucial that the prospective candidate is able to efficiently deliver the school’s curriculum, ensuring that pupils are engaged throughout lessons. As the number of pupils that have SEN support is above the national average, it is important that the teacher is able to effectively differentiate learning to support all pupils.

 Additionally, the amount of pupils whose first language is not English is well above the national average. It is therefore important that the individual is able to also cater for these pupils. The Progress 8 score at the school is below the national average. Given that this is the case, this presents a real opportunity for a prospective candidate to help improve this score.  Please note that this role is for maternity cover beginning after Easter 2020, and ending in December 2020.

The school is located just 5 miles outside of Manchester city centre. There are several train stations that are within close proximity to the school itself. For those that drive, the M60 motorway junction is also very close to the school.
