Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Fully Qualified Geography Teacher to join one of our exciting client schools in Hyde, Tameside. Key information:
- Salary- you will be paid in line with your Teacher Pay Scale Point (M1-UPS3), earning a salary between £30,000 and £46,525 per annum.
- This will be a full-time position, due to start on the 2nd of September 2024.
- ECTs will be considered for this position.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Geography Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4 well as contributing to the department’s extracurricular activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Geography and the ability to inspire students with engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons that cater to students’ diverse learning needs.
- Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects.
- Encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities related to Geography.
- Stay up to date with developments in the field of Geography and incorporate new resources into lessons.
- Contribute to departmental meetings and collaborative planning sessions.
- Ability to support students with varying abilities.
Requirements: Applicants must hold a valid QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). A degree in Geography or a related subject is essential. Strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate students are essential requirements for this role. A commitment to ongoing professional development is also required.
