Intervention Teacher

Are you a fully qualified teacher (or equivalent) looking for a new flexible role in September?

Have you got experience identifying learning gaps and building learning blocks?

We are currently working with a school that require teachers to support in primary settings with intervention in the new academic year. Your role will be to provide 1:1 tuition sessions as well as small group interventions to target students who have not engaged with education over the covid period.

The school has devised a welcome back strategy which will see all students have assessment leading to tailored catch up sessions.

A typical day;

- 3 to 4 45 minute small group sessions across the key stages with 3 one to one hour sessions with key students who require additional support

- hour lunch

- arrive for 8.30am and finish at 16.00

- liaising with class teachers on curriculum being covered and key areas to focus on within the sessions

- providing feedback for all students

You will be required to provide extra support in Maths and English. Students normally have 1 or 2 hour blocks of tuition a week depending on their need sometimes more. More often than not students struggle in a classroom setting if they are falling behind which can have an even bigger effect on their education. Working outside of the classroom with someone who has their exclusive attention has seen an increase in grades, social skills, mental health and general well being. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
