Individual Needs Assistant (Primary School)
Location: Littlehampton
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only
Start Date: January
Pay: £88.92- £95
Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Littlehampton, who are seeking a committed Individual Needs Assistant (INA) to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning and social needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help a child thrive, develop confidence and engage positively in their learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with individual needs
- Assist with learning activities, adapting tasks when necessary
- Promote independence, emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO and school support team
- Maintain a calm, encouraging and child-centred approach
- Support the pupil’s integration into the classroom and wider school life
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children, particularly those with SEND
- Patient, nurturing and resilient
- Able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Confident in following educational and behavioural strategies
- Good communication skills
- Reliable, proactive and committed to supporting children’s development
- Must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check (or be registered on the Update Service)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
