Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated IT Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school on a supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or ECT looking to secure a rewarding teaching position within a supportive school environment.

The successful candidate will be passionate about Information Technology and Computing, with the ability to deliver engaging and accessible lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will play an important role in developing pupils' digital skills, confidence and understanding of technology, whilst maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging IT/Computing lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Teach a range of topics including programming, digital literacy, computer systems and online safety.
  • Differentiate lessons effectively to meet the needs and abilities of all pupils.
  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour, progress and achievement.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider Computing curriculum.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an IT/Computing Teacher who:

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching IT, Computing or Computer Science within a secondary school.
  • Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Can confidently deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Has a genuine passion for developing young people's digital and technical skills.
  • Is reliable, adaptable and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

ECTs are also encouraged to apply, with Teaching Personnel able to provide support and guidance throughout your placement and teaching career.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
