Humanities Teacher Required!

Tamworth- B77 based secondary school- September 2026

 

Are you wanting to embark upon a new, exciting challenge for the next academic year?

One of our fantastic partner schools in Tamworth, Staffordshire, is getting ahead of the game and is seeking to appoint a confident, passionate and dedicated humanities teacher on a full time basis from September 2026.

The school is renowned for inclusivity and embracing diversity to support children and staff from all different walks of lif, everyone at this school is championed and is pushed to succeed in whatever they choose to do!

 

Our ideal applicant will:

- Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in humanities/or on humanities subject

- Be confident teaching History, Geography, RS and PSHE

- Have strong classroom presence and confident behaviour management skills

- Have recent, relevant experience teaching humanities within a UK secondary school

- Have strong curriculum based knowledge

 

You will be responsible for:

- planning a range of diverse humanities lessons to accomodate the needs of individual students within your classes

- regularly assessing the progress of pupils within your class and providing feedback to support their development

- covering all aspects of the humanities curriculum, including PSHE, Geography, History and RS

- contributing to the wider school community through extra curricular engagement

- differentiating lessons according to the abilities within your class

- managing the classroom behaviour effectively and creating a positive, stimulating learning environment

 

Important information:

- Rate of pay: To scale (MPS/UPS)

- Hours: Full time (Mon-Fri 08:30-15:30)
