Teaching Personnel are currently working with a school in Salisbury who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Humanities Teacher to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher looking for a part-time position within a supportive school environment. The role would suit an experienced teacher, ECT or educator looking for greater flexibility while continuing to develop their classroom practice.

The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for Humanities and the ability to inspire pupils through engaging and thought-provoking lessons.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Humanities lessons across KS3 and KS4.

• Teaching engaging lessons across subjects such as History and/or Geography, depending on experience and specialism.

• Developing pupils' knowledge, understanding and critical-thinking skills.

• Creating well-structured and appropriately differentiated lessons.

• Monitoring and assessing pupil progress.

• Providing constructive feedback to help pupils improve.

• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom expectations.

• Supporting pupils with a range of abilities and additional learning needs.

• Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning.

• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Humanities department.

• Building positive relationships with pupils and creating an inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Humanities Teacher who:

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Has experience teaching Humanities at KS3 and/or KS4.

• Has strong subject knowledge in History, Geography or another relevant Humanities subject.

• Can deliver engaging, challenging and well-differentiated lessons.

• Has excellent classroom management skills.

• Can establish positive relationships with pupils.

• Is organised, reliable and adaptable.

• Has strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Is passionate about education and supporting young people.

• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
