This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or established HLTA who enjoys variety, responsibility, and the chance to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school.

Whether you're leading a class during PPA time, delivering interventions, or supporting pupils' progress, you'll be a valued member of the school team.

As a HLTA, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead whole-class learning during PPA cover
  • Support pupils' progress through targeted interventions
  • Build relationships across multiple year groups
  • Gain valuable classroom leadership experience
  • Become an integral part of the wider school community

Every day brings new challenges, experiences and opportunities to make a difference.

About the Role

You will:

  • Deliver engaging pre-planned lessons during teacher release time
  • Lead whole-class learning confidently and effectively
  • Support children with a wide range of learning needs
  • Deliver small-group and intervention sessions
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement
  • Work closely with teachers and senior leaders
  • Contribute to a nurturing and inclusive school environment

This role offers excellent variety and is perfect for educators who enjoy being adaptable and proactive.

Who We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • Hold HLTA Status or a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Have experience working within UK primary schools
  • Are confident leading groups and managing a classroom
  • Have strong behaviour management skills
  • Are organised, reliable and professional
  • Enjoy supporting children's learning and development
  • Holds an Enhanced ChildWorkforce DBS or willingness to apply for one

Experience covering classes and delivering interventions would be highly beneficial.

⭐ Why Work With Teaching Personnel?

  • Competitive weekly PAYE pay
  • Access to free CPD and professional development
  • Opportunities in welcoming local primary schools
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated local consultant
  • Potential long-term and permanent opportunities
  • Easy timesheet and availability management through the myTP app

Locations

Primary schools across:

  • Redruth
  • Camborne
  • Pool
  • Portreath
  • St Agnes
  • Surrounding Mid-Cornwall areas
