Part-Time | Tuesday–Thursday | 08:30–15:30

A welcoming primary school in DH9 is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team for 3 days per week. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting a range of classes and is happy to step into both teaching and general TA responsibilities depending on the day.

✨ The Role

As the HTLA, you will:

• Provide high-quality support across different year groups.
• Lead whole-class learning when required, following planned lessons.
• Deliver targeted small-group interventions.
• Support the class teacher with classroom management and teaching duties.
• Adapt confidently to a variety of classroom environments and pupil needs.
• Help create a positive, engaging learning environment for all pupils.

This role is ideal for someone who is flexible, proactive, and skilled at building relationships with staff and pupils alike.

✅ Requirements

We’re looking for:

• HTLA qualification or relevant higher-level experience.
• Experience leading whole-class teaching.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to adapt quickly.
• A current child-only Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Excellent reliability and professionalism.
